As the owner of Carroll Investment Management, my goal is simple: I want to reduce my client’s stress by helping them financially plan, prepare and live. In doing so, my clients are able to focus on what matters most – their family, friends, health, career, and retirement.
Since 2003, I’ve been helping people with retirement planning. I understand that what I do can be intimidating and confusing. To make it worse, many in the financial services industry think the answer is a longer report, a more complex product and technology that is frustrating to use. I think life is already complicated enough. Carroll Investment Management was founded with the philosophy of reducing our client’s stress, not increasing it. Every day, I try to make my client’s lives a little easier with a simple to understand investment process and clear communication.
In addition to my ownership role at Carroll Investment Management, I’m also the Chief Compliance Officer and half owner of Cogent Advisory Group, an SEC Registered Investment Advisor. Additionally, I have an active (and growing!) blog, called Social Security Intelligence, where I discuss Social Security and retirement-related information. Through my experiences owning two firms and writing my own blog, I have learned that there is rarely a great reward in simply following the crowd.
Outside of work, I have devoted a significant amount of time to Northside Assembly of God, Caddo Area Council – Boy Scouts of America and currently serves as the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 707. I have been married to my wife, Karen, for 18 years and have three children.
