Christina Simon is the mastermind behind Beyond the Brochure, a blog for parents applying to private elementary schools in L.A…and what life is really like at some of those schools. She also writes thoughtfully and elegantly about race, politics, motherhood, and other topics at OpenSalon. She gives us a glimpse into her well-appointed Blogger Space below.
My home office is my favorite place to work. If I’m out and need to write something down I use iPhone notes. This photo was taken in the morning, which is my best time to blog. Of course, late at night is good too.

Very pretty! Beyond The Brochure has been helpful to us as we try to understand the private school process here in LA (we relocated).

What an organized and serene space. It makes sense you “pen” BTB from it.

Beautiful space. I love that you have a dedicated spot (and even have a view). I work on a laptop & my “space” is all over the place! And, like Carolyn, you & BTB have been a great help to us as we navigate the elementary school process here in LA!
