I write in my pantry. It’s actually a laundry room/pantry off the kitchen, and my husband configured the counterspace into a desk area. It’s cozy and quiet. When it’s hot in the summer, I have a fan; when it’s cold in the winter, we run the dryer and it keeps me warm. I sit with my back to the door and get lost in my work. I blog in here, and write my novels and short stories — 4 novels at last count, a screenplay, and dozens of shorts.
But I’m leaving it behind. With my oldest in college, we now have one more room. We’re turning it into a guest room/office for me. A window! Ventilation! I don’t know if I will be re-energized with the move or knocked for a loop.

Your blogger space looks like a working writer’s place. Who knows what inspiration your new space will bring?

Hi Christina,
I feel a little wistful when I look at that picture. I’m up and running in the new space, but the old pantry was such a great cocoon. I think I just haven’t made the new space my own yet.
