I’m a quote lover. Here’s a great one from a pillar in our history, Abraham Lincoln.
Whatever you are, be a good one.
~ Abraham Lincoln
It’s no surprise to my friends that I throw myself into everything I do. After all, if I’m going to do it, it’s going to have my heart. I’m tenacious. I do it not to be a perfectionist, but to be a better me. So I do little things to improve my chances, like reading directions, researching on the internet, and asking lots of questions of the experts. Once that is done, I combine everything in my mental mixing pot and swirl it around until it’s good and ready to execute.
Trying something new without the fear of failure is what I’m working towards.
Actually, I should say that the fear of failure is still present…I just don’t care anymore. I’ve decided to try things no matter what the possible outcome. If I ruin a batch of jam or paint my walls a hideous color or say the wrong thing it’s OK. Because I forgive myself. And if someone else forgives me too, score! Extra bonus!
So today I’ll be a good one, no matter what I choose.
