Bungalows In Bali

Greetings from Ubud, Bali, from the Greenfield Hotel! You wouldn’t believe how beautiful the lodgings are here. After the tight quarters in crowded Tokyo, my bungalow suite feels like a Balinese mansion, fit for royalty.

When I walked into the Greenfield Hotel and Restaurant, I felt like little orphan Annie arriving at Daddy Warbucks estate. Not only it was spacious, but our room was facing the vast rice fields of Ubud.

Everywhere you turn, on the grounds of the hotel, you can’t help admire the architecture, wooden carvings, atmosphere of serenity and beauty of Bali.

Offerings of flowers, that bless the rooms, thrice a day, can be found on every step. Later, I noticed this throughout the town. Whether the offerings were at temples, on the dashboards of taxis or business establishments, you would always find these reminders of how the Balinese appreciate their blessings.

Getting to Bali can cost a pretty penny from the United States, but upon arrival, you can live like a King or Queen. Whether you are a backpacker or baller, Bali can be enjoyed on every type of budget.

Even the cost of dining out, is ridiculously inexpensive. We are talking $3 – $4 for a dinner plate, $8 if I was feeling like a millionaire. HAHA. Plus, the food tastes wonderful.

Going out now, in Hawaii, makes me feel like a poor person, in comparison to my experience in Indonesia.

No wonder why I met so many ex patriots and young backers during my holiday. It is so cheap! Who wouldnt love it?

Everywhere you turn, you meet Australians visiting for the weekend. It is so easy and affordable for them to to take a holiday to Bali.

I hope you enjoy a few of the photographs I am sharing tonight of my lodgings in Bali. If you ever travel to this beautiful island, make sure to stay at the Greenfield Hotel in Ubud. Not only was the ammenities wonderful, but the staff were warm and exceptional.

Despite my absolute fear of frogs, HAHA, I loved every moment at the Greenfield Bungalows. Even if I was surrounded by a billion amphibians! That is what I get for staying next to a rice paddy. 🙂

Even better, you are just minutes away from a short walk to the Monkey Forest. Every day, I took a stroll through the Monkey Forest, because it was so close.
