Helen Yates

Helen Yates is a freelance risk and insurance journalist living in the North East of England with her two daughters. As blogger “Breadwinning Betty” she writes about modern families and the challenges facing working mothers, sharing her own experiences of divorce, addiction and co-parenting. In particular, she explores the “curse” of female breadwinners, women who are breaking the mold in increasing numbers but may find society is pitted against them and face a one-in-two divorce rate (compared to one-in-three for marriages with traditional gender roles).
