I’ll admit it. I’d sometimes load the kids up on garlic before they had visitation with Husband #1. Haha. Just a little bit of my evil side peeking out.
Garlic Cheese Rolls
one Pillsbury Country Italian Bread roll
1 1/2 tablespoon soft butter
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic or garlic powder
1 teaspoon of Italian season mix
1-2 cups shredded mozzarella or Italian blend cheese (depending on how cheesy you like things)
When you open the Italian bread, look for a seam down the side. Carefully unroll the bread so you end up with a thin rectangle of dough. Mix together the butter, garlic and season mix. Spread on one side of the bread. Sprinkle the cheese over the entire rectangle of dough. Carefully roll up the dough, tucking the ends so none of the cheese falls out. Now cut the log into 6 rounds, they will look almost like cinnamon buns. Using a 5×9 baking dish, arrange the rounds in a single layer with a cut side up towards the ceiling. The dough will expand while baking so don’t jam them in too tightly. Bake on 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Great by themselves or with marinara sauce.
