FINALLY HOME!

Or to the kids home anyway. I will be off to mom’s as Stanley is on.
There was some fuster cluckage that went on yesterday as we tried to get home.
Delta was alllll screwed up. We were late leaving because the plane was late from JFK, then they informed us the toilet was broken on the plane but boarded us, then we sat and sat and they finally said there was a mechanical problem and let people off to pee, back on, left the gate and sat and sat until they finally said there was ‘weather’ along our route and we couldn’t leave yet, return to the gate for people to pee, then someone came on and said that the 4 of us needed to get off so they could rebook us through Atlanta again because we might miss our connection through Raleigh Durham, then they said they couldn’t find our bags which had been gate checked but we could go to Atlanta without bags (to which we said HELL NO, since our bags were all carryon’s which they made us hand over as we were walking on the plane and there was a laptop in there and I wasn’t even sure they had good names on them since they were carry ons) but then we went back on our original plane knowing we had missed our connection. By this time, I had some serious swamp ass. Finally that fucker took off about 3.5 hours late. We arrived in Raleigh Durham with a plane full of other people that had also missed their connection. Since it was a mechanical problem they gave us a hotel and food vouchers so we had an extended vaca at the Days Inn Airport.
Disclaimer: The Raleigh Durham airport is really nice! But we know nothing about NC and the kids and I had a debate about whether RD is the capitol. Still don’t know. Don’t tell me. That curiosity has passed.
Anyway, all back and the kids did great I’m really proud of them. Now it is back to the grind. Work and getting ready for school to start.
Oh and Stanley wants to sit down with me and determine how to handle telling the kids about the apartment.
I don’t see where this has to be hard. He will still be here on his nesting days. But, whatever, anytime that Stanley says he ‘wants to talk’ I have to encourage that behavior.
Pavlov’s dog and all.
I think it may give the kids some security to know where he goes when he is off.
Anyway. Singing one more refrain of
You Suck, Delta!
