Well I do have words, but they are words of outrage.
And I’m tired.
I’m tired of fighting people who think we don’t need gun legislation.
I’m tired of people who think their right to bear arms is more important
than the right of a 5 year-old to grow up. Or to feel safe in a movie theater.
By the way, I have no problem with any of you that feelthe need to carry a musket.
Or to have a rifle for hunting.
Although I don’t get the appeal in that either.
Don’t talk to me about the need to overhaul mental health services.
As a mental health professional I can tell you it is easier to see what is in someone’s hand, than their head.
Do you want us to walk around with large nets like the child catcherin Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? Haul random people off in a wagon?
No. But we can keep them from having access to weapons like this. I’ve seen too many children die from illness to have any sort of tolerancefor bullshit rationalizations.
We had JB’s sleepover last night.
I told them to go to bed at 12:30, 1:30, 3:10 and 4:30.I’m exhausted. I’m grieving.
I’m praying for people to find comfort that lost their children.
