It is always dangerous when I am in the nest too long.
I start seeing design projects.
And let’s face it, the nest is my only permanent home. I go on my off nights to the crash pad (my Mom’s house that is often empty due to their traveling ways) and believe me, she doesn’t need design help. First, she is good at it herself and second, she had a brilliant designer.
The nest on the other hand, plenty of projects.
Like, I start thinking the nest needs a glass backsplash.
And how I really need a tufted bed
Whimpering |
I start doing things like dreaming of mud rooms.
For comparison, my laundry room where such things like coats, shoes, backpacks,
etc. find themselves, looks like this.
Plus backpacks everywhere. |
But my biggest source of irritation is in my master bathroom.
It has light pink 1964 tile with a bathtub/shower combo.
There is no vent and the paint (it is a light gray and was here when we moved in) is peeling.
not my bathroom but close enough. |
Jealous??
I don’t enjoy it nearly as much as this woman does hers.
I want one of these:
Mmmmmmmmmm
or
Yummmm
and I love this
Be still my heart.
Loverboy Al, (FBE) says he will help with the work.
Thoughts?

Just wanted to say hi. I’m Charles and I wanted to thank you for moving my post, had too many tabs open. My real name is Wes.
I just wanted to mention that I have found some interesting Men’s perspective blogs. The Off Parent is a good one and so is Single Dad Laughing. The Good Men project is pretty decent for resources as well.
There is still nothing as awesome and as comprehinsive as Divorced Moms though and regardless of gender target I have found many of the blogs from the women on here inciteful and very helpful.
Thanks to women like you Liz and men like Curtis for sharing their experiences to help people in need.
