My goodness, I really expected to write more this week. I did actually complete an article on my phone, but I neglected to save and lost all those words. Boo hoo.
I am still trying to figure out my new schedule and doing a very crappy job at it. This past Sunday my kitchen sink plumbing decided it was feeling left out and raised a ruckus and demanded attention. The never-ending saga continues.
After grocery shopping with a very active toddler (if grocery stores had a daycare…OMG they would make so much more money), I went home to clogged sinks. SCREAM. I literally wanted to throw a temper tantrum much like Kiddo does when he gets frustrated.
I broke all divorce protocol and texted Pap with a SOS. Which was a waste of time, his layman opinion was that my pipes are clogged. Seriously, wow, thanks, I don’t know what I would have done without you.
I break another rule – the crunchy momma rule and buy some Drano. I tried the baking soda/vinegar route and that did diddlysquat. I need working sinks. I ushered Kiddo into another room and hoped that there were not many fumes from the Drano.
As you can see, I am still alive, thus no caustic fumes, but the clog was still there. I am so requesting my money back because all those clog cleaning stuff claim that it will clear clog with one use. NOT!!! I have three various bottles and still my pipes are clogged. (Saying my pipes are clogged totally cracks me up..If you are weird and you know raise your hand.)
I am being stubborn and refusing to call a plumber. Especially, the plumber that always asks me out. I can fix this. I watched videos from thisoldhouse.com regarding clogged sinks and garbage disposals. Kiddo watches Handy Manny and I am determined to be Handy Moxie. If only I can get some animated tools that do all the work also.
And because I always seem to have car issues at the same time I have sink/plumbing issues, the light for oil of course came on in car this week. It is not time for an oil change. Crap, what now? An oil leak?
I get a chance to stop by auto parts store and get some oil for car. The dude offers to check and put oil in the car for me. Be my guest and thank you. Oil low light is finally off in the car and I now have jumper cables in the car also.
Hopefully, I can settle my schedule and get accustomed to a routine. I wish I was a morning person. I am not. I would rather stay up all night getting things done versus waking up early. But flip side, I am not as spry as I once was and my body wants its rest.
Moxie – in my overalls under kitchen sink
I took apart the pipes under my sink and I am pretty confident that I need a new garbage disposal. The sink won this round. Gotta call a plumber.
