I fed my inner strength, my core sense of being with yoga by looking thru my jewelry box.
What do I mean? Well, I financed a 12-week hatha yoga class series by selling a piece of jewelry from my jewelry box – a ring that I am not wearing anymore – that old, no longer worn, pre-loved, not needed any more engagement ring.
It was gifted to me with promises and dreams, but it was finally time to convert it to something much more useful to me. I was ready for a renewed me. I wanted to sign up for this new series of yoga but needed the extra funds to make it happen.
My sister was pushing me to sell the ring, why did I need it anymore, my daughter surely would want her own ring and not my old one, the extra cash would be helpful and a reason to spend on me. It is all now about being the best me ever. So with nothing to lose and only to gain, I was ready to sell my diamond ring.
I searched and found that there is a responsible new way to “mine” diamonds and is reinventing diamond buying and selling in the US.
While earth-mined diamonds stress the environmental eco-system, harm indigenous peoples, local cultures and their land, supporting the recycle diamond movement is a clean and responsible way to “mine”. And the largest “mine” is us! The US Households.
Supporting this new trend of US Household reselling as the responsible market for diamonds, I found a new site called Worthy.com. Worthy has created an online auction solution that hosts a community of professional, certified jewelry buyers to bid on your diamond jewelry.
It was like I had my own personal marketplace bidding on my ring. During my 2-day auction, the selling was competitive with multiple bids getting me a fair market price for my pre-loved diamond ring. It was better than going to my local jewelry store; eBay and craigslist are not my cup of tea – I was worried about safety. I also didn’t know how to take good pictures and I really didn’t know the 4-C’s of my diamond ring either.
Worthy did all the work for me, they got a certified grading report, took pictures and posted for auction and I had over a dozen buyers interested in the ring. Pretty impressive. Reselling online was easy and I felt secure. I was able to sell my 1.6ct solitaire diamond ring. $7569.00 was paid directly into my bank account.
I registered for a 12-week hatha yoga class, took my daughter on a mini shopping spree to H&M and put the rest into a rainy day fund. Happy me!
Using Worthy.com as the new solution allowed me to reward myself with the gift of new opportunities. Reimagine. Rejoice. Renew. Let Worthy help you sell your ring and help you finance a new you.
