“Dancing is like dreaming with your feet.”
Aloha, my lovelies! I hope everyone is having a great weekend and making sure to be having tons of fun. As I have mentioned in my last post, yesterday was CrossFit of Oahu’s Annual CrossFit prom, in Hononolulu. So yours truly, got dolled up, put on a sexy dress, had my hair professionally styled and slipped on my new nude stilletos.

Sweet Cicily was going to the prom….
Despite me knowing very few people going to the event, I still forced myself to go and get out of the house. Sometimes, you have to get your ass up, put on a pretty dress and put yourself out there.
At first, I was a wee bit nervous, because I was worried, I would be sitting by myself (flashback to junior high Sadie Hawkins dance). CrossFit can tend to have their cliques, so I didn’t want to feel like a loser, pretending to be texting on my phone, as a my social armor.
Even Charlize Pretends Texts
Plus, I was feeling a little insecure, with my dress hugging my all curves, I swore I felt like Kelly Bundy. Pulling my dress down because it felt too short, then pulling it back up because my BOOBS were out of control.
Finally, I was like FUCK IT, I have a great figure, blessed with the big boobies and I have been working hard to get back into shape, I was going to own it. It doesn’t matter if you are a size 2 or a size 16, embrace your body, smile and love it.
As I was leaving, I ran into a fellow CrossFitter from my box, in the ladies room and she screamed, “OMG. I cannot believe that is you. You look so beautiful!” It made my day and I felt like a million bucks!
That is why I love CrossFit, you will see every shape, size, color and age, in the “box”. Like a beautiful box of Crayolas, we are diverse, but brilliant in our own right.
Bringing My Sexy Back
Over the course of a year, I have met some really amazing human beings, that I would have not otherwise met, had I not walked into the doors of CrossFit in Kailua.
Not many people know this, but all of my family and most of my closest friends, do not live in Hawaii. Living thousands of miles away, from all my loved ones, can be lonely at times. However, for the first time, since all my military “family” left the island, many years ago, I have found a new Ohana at CrossFit in Hawaii.
Never in my life, have I encountered such a dynamic, inspiring, supportive, loving, fun and energetic community. All of these men and women have become my brothers and my sisters.
Our strength is not only found in the weights, but how we “lift” each other up, to be better and stronger versions of ourselves.

I also loved seeing everyone, out of their workout clothes, dressed to the nines and have a great time letting loose. I met so many wonderful people last night, danced the night away, laughed and had a blast.
I must say, the Kaneohe box girls are ridiculously fun and know how to have a good time. I ended dancing with these girls all night.
One thing is for sure, CrossFitters work hard, but they play even harder!!!
My Kick Ass Coach Gil
Now to the funny part of my night. It wouldn’t make a night complete, without running into Mr. Night At The Roxbury CrossFit Guy. Seriously, why do men think this is EVER ok, to stick their ass on you and begin twerking????
What The What
That fool tried, to get right behind me too, but I kept moving around the dance floor, to get away from him and giving my friend the side ways eye.

Aside, from my dance floor molestation, I had the best time ever at the prom. Anytime you have an opportunity to get out of the house, for some adult fun, take it without hesitation. It may involve stepping outside of your comfort zone, but I guarantee you won’t regret the experience.
Enjoy the short VLOG I posted about last night’s prom and encouraging you to get out there and enjoy your life!
