We are all attracted to who we’re attracted to, no one preaches that more than I do. Still, there is an unconscious view that some men have of women that reach a certain age (Hint: 40). How do I know this? Because I’ve done studies and focus groups on the reactions of men before and after they realize a woman’s age. In one such focus group, I showed men a group of photograph’s of women over 40. But, I told the men that the women were between 33 and 35.
Upon viewing the pictures, the men were hot to trot, excited, shameless and other adjectives that would make their ‘spirits’ rise if you know what I mean. And yet, when I disclosed the women’s actual age, the demeanor changed considerably for a lot of them.
While they had gawked far too much to do a complete about face, they suddenly began inserting conditions and stipulations to their compliments. I could go through countless other studies I’ve done, but instead I will focus on the attractive and sexy attributes of women over 40.
What women over 40 are:
Bold: ‘Women of a certain age’ will dance like no one’s watching, buy him a drink at a bar, tell raunchy jokes, laugh out loud, etc.
Confident: Once you’ve been there and back, a certain part of you just doesn’t care to please, change or adjust anymore. You are who you are and that’s who you’ll be.
Expressive: ‘In words, body language and sex, you will know and feel me. It’s been too long that I’ve been someone else or held back my true self. No more. Watch here ’cause here I come!’
Relaxed: ‘Some things just don’t matter anymore. So let’s just sit outside with a glass of wine and be in the moment.’
Self Aware: ‘I am impatient and sometimes it will come out when we’re driving together.’ ‘Yes, I was a little overbearing, I can get that way when I feel stressed about money.”
Sexual: You realize women hit their sexual peak around this age right? Okay, just checking.
Loyal: ‘When I’ve been through this (ouch, grrrrr) and have a clear view of what I want, they who end up with me will be rewarded with loyalty that goes to the moon and back.’
Note: I hesitated writing this article as I am adamant about not pitting women against each other, especially not for the sake of men. I took a step back however and saw/see this as a means of explaining those attributes that truly appear or improve with experience and exposure. It certainly stands to reason that a woman in her 40’s will have more of each of these things than her 30 and 20-something counterparts.
Now where was I? Oh yes! Those undeniable and incredibly attractive traits that ‘women of a certain age’ have in spades. Why would men want anything less than a woman that knows exactly who she is and what she wants? What is better than a woman that expresses herself in bold and confident ways? I’d like to round out this article with an acronymic poem that puts into perspective my views of the beautiful 40-something women of the world!

Forgetting
Unimportant
Lavishness

If you are a man, take note and look around. You may just miss out on the real-ationship of a lifetime. Seriously!
